Pretreatment / RO / Polishing

AOP-Fenton

Advanced Oxidation Process-Fenton (AOP-Fenton) is a chemical treatment technology widely employed in wastewater treatment for the degradation of recalcitrant organic pollutants and improvement of water quality. This process utilizes catalytic reaction to generate highly reactive oxidizing species to decompose complex organic compounds into simpler, less toxic intermediates. It is often used as a pre-treatment to enhance the efficiency of downstream biological processes or as the last polishing step to ensure compliance with stringent DOE discharge regulations.

FBR-Fenton

Fenton-Based Fluidized Bed Reactor (FBR) is an advanced oxidation process that combines the Fenton reaction with a fluidized bed reactor to treat wastewater, particularly for the removal of recalcitrant organic pollutants. This system leverages the high oxidative power of hydroxyl radicals generated from the reaction between hydrogen peroxide and ferrous ions, in conjunction with the enhanced mass transfer and mixing provided by the fluidized bed configuration.

Biofilm Carriers

An attached growth system with biofilm carriers is a biological wastewater treatment process where microorganisms form biofilms on the surface of media, known as biofilm carriers. These carriers, typically made from materials such as plastic, ceramic, or other synthetic substances, provide a large surface area for microbial attachment, facilitating the efficient treatment organic matter, removing nutrients, and supporting processes like nitrification and denitrification.

Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB)

Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) Reactor treats wastewater by passing it upward through a dense anaerobic sludge blanket, where organic contaminants are degraded by microorganisms. This process generates biogas, primarily methane, which is captured for energy recovery. The system includes a sludge blanket, influent and effluent systems, a gas-liquid separator, and a settling zone to separate solids from treated water. Anaerobic Fluidized Bed Reactor (AFB)
